The Blues have been given hope in their attempts to sign the £90m striker.

Chelsea have just received a huge boost in their Andrea Belotti chase. The Blues are after a striker, and have identified the Italian forward as a candidate.

The Azzurri ace impressed for Torino last season. Despite the club’s middle-table finish, the forward scored an impressive 26 goals to land himself on the radar of several top clubs.

Now, the Blues have received two huge boosts in their hopes of landing the 23-year-old. First, Torino released the new kit for the upcoming Serie A season and Belotti was a surprise omission.

The striker was nowhere to be seen – in both the pictures and the video. This is surprising given that the Italian was their standout player last season. The only explanation is that he is set to leave the club.

Secondly, Tancredi Palmeri added further fuel to the exit rumors. He wrote on Twitter that Belotti has handed in a transfer request in favor of a bigger club.

The Blues have two things to worry about, however. First is his price tag, as the 23-year-old could cost the Premier League champions £90m. Secondly is interest from AC Milan, as the Rossoneri are willing to break the bank for the Italian forward in their bid to return to the top of Serie A.
