Chelsea’s hunt for a striker could see them look within the Premier League. This is according to a Sky Sports report which claims the Blues have thrown their hat in the race for Sergio Aguero.
And this is no mere interest. The British news outlet writes that the English champions have "serious and strong interest" for the Argentine amid speculation surrounding his Etihad Stadium future.
Aguero has been linked with a Man City exit ever since Jesus Gabriel made a stellar debut to life with the Citizens. The Argentine was dropped in favor of the Brazilian and was only reinstated as a starter upon the 20-year-old’s injury.

Whether the mega-rich club will entertain the thought of selling Kun to a direct rival remains debatable. Sky Sports insist, however, that Guardiola’s side are not willing to do business.
A move away from the Etihad has been dismissed by both Pep and club chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak. Aguero, Man City’s top scorer last season, has three years left on his current deal.
If Chelsea were to pull off this deal, it would be unforgettable. Conte is in dire need of a new striker, with Diego Costa set to leave Stamford Bridge, and is working hard on his targets after missing out on Lukaku.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Borussia Dortmund, Andrea Belotti of Torino, and Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid are other targets, but the Spaniard appears to be on his way to AC Milan.
