Fans hoping to see the Chilean and German aces stay might be even more worried after this.

Arsenal are in fine form at the moment, sitting in second spot in the English Premier League, and topping their Champions League group ahead of PSG. Nonetheless, there is a cloud of worry surrounding the club in regards to the future of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

The German and Chilean aces have been sensational this season for the Gunners, with the latter scoring and assisting for fun. However, with only 18 months remaining on their deal, and there being no sign of agreements over contract extensions, fans fear they may lost both stars.

The former Spanish Primera Division aces are both reportedly demanding mega salary raises. The Telegraph, though, recently reported that Wenger would be willing to let Ozil go – but not Sanchez – if the ex-Real Madrid doesn’t lower his demands.

Le Prof has now added fuel to speculation of a summer exit by claiming Arsenal are bigger than Mesut and Alexis. Although his statement is true, it will only make supporters fret more over the two players’ future.

When asked whether it is important to keep hold of their best players. Arsene said (as per ESPN FC): "Yes, but Arsenal is a big club. It is not one or two players who will make the difference to the club. The importance is that we are today in a financial position that is strong, that was not the case before.

"That means as well we are in a position where we can plan our future, and do what we want to do. And what is important is always to take care of the values of the club, and the identity of the club, and not to depend too much on one or two players. The history of Arsenal is bigger than that."

Wenger, having initially refused to publicly entertain the thought of a contract renewal for Santi Cazorla, has now admitted that they will work to extend the influential Spaniard’s deal. "We will extend, certainly, with Santi Cazorla," was the Frenchman’s response.
