Will Leicester put their EPL woes behind them?

Leicester City, having remarkably won the English Premier League, began their first ever Champions League season with a bang, beating Club Brugge 3-0 on the road.

Back in England, however, things are not going well for Claudio Ranieri’s boys, as they are stuttering in their title defense.

Any hopes of retaining the league crown was severely dented by the recent 4-1 thrashing away to Manchester United. Although there are more than enough games to reverse their fortunes, that result will have left a huge dent in their confidence.

The weekend defeat was the Foxes’ third loss in their opening six games, leaving them in 12th spot with seven points.

However, Leicester will boast home advantage on Tuesday, and a player who knows how to score against Porto very well: Islam Slimani.

The Algerian striker has scored five goals in three meetings with Dragões in 2016, albeit they came with previous club Sporting Lisbon.

This has the Tinkerman confident for the midweek game, saying (as per Yahoo Sport):

"They [Porto] are used to staying at the top of their league. They won six titles. We respect [them] a lot but we [will] try to win. Also Porto [will] try to win.

"Slimani is going to play tomorrow. He's a goalscorer against Porto. I'm sure it would be a very good threat to them."
