Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming UCL draw.

As the world prepares for yet another exciting evening when the UCL Draw will be conducted on Thursday August 25, we take a look at everything you need to know about the four pots involved in the draw. 

Pot 1

This pot consists of the UCL title holders and the champions of the top-seven ranked nations at the end of the 2014/15 season. It consists of Real Madrid as the European Champions, Barcelona as La Liga Champions, Leicester City as Premier League winners, Bayern Munich as Bundesliga winners, Juventus the champions of Serie A, Benfica the Premeira Liga champions, PSG the champions of Ligue 1 and CSKA Moscow the Russian champions.

Pot 2

The teams in this pot are ranked based on their UEFA club coefficients. The eight teams include Atletico Madrid (4th), Borussia Dortmund (8th), Arsenal (10th), Manchester City (11th), Sevilla (14th), FC Porto (16th), Napoli (17th) and Bayer Leverkusen (18th).

Pot 3

This pot is made up of teams ranked from ninth to 16th out of the 24 clubs found in Pot 2 to 4 as per the UEFA club coefficient rankings at the end of last season. They include FC Basel (19th), Tottenham Hotspur (23rd), Dynamo Kyiv (26th), Lyon (28th), PSV Eindhoven (33rd), Sporting CP (40th), Club Brugge (47th) and Borussia Monchengladbach (49th).

Pot 4

This is the last pot of the UCL draw, and consists of teams ranked from 17th and below in UEFA’s club coefficient rankings. They include Celtic (54th), Monaco (58th), Besiktas (62nd), Legia Warsaw (74th) Dinamo Zagreb (82nd), Ludogorets Razgrad (83rd), Kobenhavn (86th) and Rostov (146th).
