Manchester United are 'hours' away from announcing Paul Pogba's deal, according to reports in Italy, England and France.

English publication the Daily Star has provided the latest update on Paul Pogba’s expected switch from Italy to England to join Premier League giants Manchester United. The report claims that the player has already passed his medical, which was conducted in Los Angeles in the USA where he is currently on vacation.

The 23-year-old, whose transfer to his former club will cost the Red Devils approximately £112 million, will become the most expensive player in the world. Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale currently holds the record of the most expensive signing in the world of football, having switched from the White Hart Lane to the Santiago Bernabeu back in 2013 for £85 million. The superstar was then spotted shopping for shoes in Beverly Hills, LA, wearing black and white probably to quel the transfer speculations that have taken the sports media by storm. Pogba in LaThe report further adds that the French midfielder will wear the No. 6 shirt at his new club, which was not assigned to any player when the club announced the official shirt numbers for the 2016/17 season. In terms of weekly wage, the well-built star will earn a massive £275,000 week for five years with his new employers.

Reports in Italy and France also suggest that the Red Devils are set to make the announcement official anytime soon. ESPN, on the other hand, have picked Friday (today) as the date of the big announcement.
