The French striker will leave the Andalucian side after winning three consecutive UEFA Europa League titles .

Atlético may have failed in their attempts to bring back Diego Costa, but they certainly hit the nail with their new acqusition.

Reports by Spanish newspaper Marca claim that Los Colchoneros have reached an agreement to sign French striker Kevin Gameiro. The three-time UEFA Europa League champion with Los Hispalenses will join Simeone's squad in the next few days, after the Spanish capital giants agreed to pay €30 million for the player.

This will be Gameiro's fifth professional club after stints with Racing Strasbourg, Lorient, PSG and Sevilla.

The player was linked all sumer long with a transfer away from the red-and-white side, with Barcelona and a return to PSG seeming like the most suitable options. Nevertheless, Atlético beat them to the punch and will have him around to help Antoine Griezmann and Fernando Torres up front.

The French striker scored 67 goals in 140 games for Sevilla, including key goals to win the two most recent UEFA Europa League finals.
