This has all but paved the way for Paul Pogba’s exit, with the Frenchman expected to return to Man United.

Speculation surrounding the future of Gonzalo Higuain appears to have been settled, as the Argentine striker has reportedly completed his switch to Juventus for a staggering £79m fee.

This is according to a report by Sky Italia which claims that the 28-year-old has already put pen to paper on a four-year deal with Napoli’s bitter rivals.

Sky Italia write that the former Real Madrid striker underwent a secret medical in the Spanish capital, with his salary believed to be £120,000 per week.

"The visit to Madrid made by them..."

The Serie A champions do not boast enough money to make a £79m signing, meaning Higuain’s inevitable arrival all but confirms that Juventus will sell midfield superstar Paul Pogba.

The Frenchman has long been linked with a move to either Real Madrid or Manchester United, with the latter tipped to have won the race for the 23-year-old sensation.

The Bleus ace won’t come cheap, with only a world-record fee of £105m being enough to pry Pogba from the Bianconeri. However, Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri recently confirmed that the Scudetto holders have entered negotiations over a Paul Pogba transfer.

“Pogba is a Juventus player at the moment but we don't know what is going to happen. The club are looking after negotiations,” the Italian manager revealed (as per The Independent) during a pre-match press conference.

Pogba’s sale will help The Old Lady raise money for Higuain’s transfer, plus more. The Argentine's transfer means that Arsenal and PSG have both missed out on last season’s 36-goal striker.
