The Algerian ace will follow N’Golo Kante out the King Power Stadium door for a reported €50m fee.

N’Golo Kante has left Leicester City, quitting the English Premier League champions favor Chelsea. Now, reports claim that Riyad Mahrez will also leave the Foxes and follow the Frenchman to London, but not to the Blues.

According to Eurosport, the Algerian midfield ace has decided on joining Arsenal. Despite having enjoyed an unforgettable 2015/16 season in which he was named the PFA Player of the Season, Mahrez has already had his head turned by the prospect of joining the Gunners.

The north London giants already boast the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, but the addition of the former Le Havre ace would definitely up Arsenal’s chances of ending their 12-year wait for the league crown.

Euro Sport claim that the Foxes will not block Mahrez’s route out of the King Power Stadium if the player requests for a transfer. Leicester were keen on keeping their star trio (Mahrez,Vardy, and Kante) but one is gone, with the other headed for the door.

Eurosport claim that the north London giants followed up on their discussions with the player’s agent whilst in Lens for Friday’s 1-1 draw.

According to the report, Arsenal will fork out €50m for Mahrez. If true, that would be a huge profit for the club that initially signed the Algerian for €450K.
