The Colombian ace has been linked with a move away from Los Blancos all summer long, being Manchester United and Chelsea his potential destinations.

Finally, James Rodriguez revealed where he really wants to play.

In an interview with Spanish newspaper Marca, the Colombian playmaker admitted he attempted to leave Los Blancos this summer, but after giving it a second thought, he wants to fight for a starting spot.

"I want to keep playing here. I want to show the coach I can be a starter. That's my dream,. I won't go anywhere, I'll become a winner with this team," James stated.

The Colombian star was rumored to be on his way out of the club ever since Zinedine Zidane was appointed as coach. The South American player had a falling out with the French tactician, but that seems to be in the past now.

James was unhappy with his role under Zidane, causing a number of rumors about his exit.

In fact, Rodriguez admitted he was aware of a massive bid made by one of his suitors, but he asked the club not to accept it and try to earn a spot in the team's lineup.

"I know there's an €85M offer, but I'm not going anywhere. I asked the club for a second chance," Rodriguez added.

Apparently, James' decision forced Los Blancos to stop pursuing Andre Gomes' transfer, who ended up signing with Barcelona on Thursday. It is yet to be seen if Zidane will give the Colombian a chance to shine, but at least Rodriguez seems ready to try.
