Arsenal has signed Bolton Wanderers' Rob Holding on a long-term deal, which is understood to be worth around £2 million.

The 20-year-old defender enjoyed an impressive first senior campaign in 2015/2016 with the Wanderers appearing in 26 games.

In addition, Holding played a key role in England's U-21 triumph in the Toulon tournament in France.

The youngster's versatility of being comfortable at both centre back and full back has made him Gunners' third summer signing following the acquisition of Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka and Japan forward Takuma Asano.

After the footballer landed a deal with Arsenal, the England under-21 international told the club's official website:

"It's something you dream of as a kid -- I can't wait to get started."
