Mourinho has finally opened up about after officially joining Man Utd.

New Man United boss Jose Mourinho has finally opened up after signing for the Premier League giants. The ex-Chelsea manager had spent the better part of the season dodging journalists and avoiding questions linking him with a move to Old Trafford, but from the look of things, it was just a matter of time before his first interview with the club.

Manchester United, through their official website, quoted the Portuguese tactician as saying:

"To become Manchester United manager is a special honour in the game. It is a club known and admired throughout the world. There is a mystique and a romance about it which no other club can match.’’

The celebrated tactician was sacked by Chelsea in the just-concluded season after a series of poor results that kept them languishing just inches away from the relegation zone. He was replaced by Dutchman Guus Hiddink, who will then be replaced by the incoming Antonio Conte in the coming season.

Back to Old Trafford, Mou has been handed a three-year renewable deal that could keep him at the club at least until 2020. The well-traveled boss has won the league titles and cups in four different countries namely England, Portugal, Spain and Italy. He has also won the Champions League twice, in 2004 with Portuguese side FC Porto and in 2010 with Inter Milan. Here is a preview of his CV:

During the interview, he added:

"I have always felt an affinity with Old Trafford; it has hosted some important memories for me in my career and I have always enjoyed a rapport with the United fans. I’m looking forward to being their manager and enjoying their magnificent support in the coming years."

Mou is expected to bring in fresh pair of legs at the club, with reports suggesting that his favorite boy Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be on his way to the club. Judging from Zlatan’s body language in an interview held yesterday after training with Sweden ahead of the Euro’s, he could as well be on his way to join his former boss at Old Trafford immediately after the European competition.

Other players who have been linked with a move to Man Utd under Mourinho include the Real Madrid duo of Karim Benzema and James Rodriguez, Chelsea duo of Willian and Nemanja Matic, Everton’s John Stones and Southampton’s Sadio Mane.
