'King' Arturo is expected to boss Chile's midfield during the continental tournament. But will he be able to repeat last year's silverware feat with La Roja?

One of the most talented midfielders in South American football will have the chance to confirm his legacy with La Roja, as Arturo Vidal prepares to defend the Copa América title Chile won last year.

The 28-year-old midfielder will try to become a true inspiration for his team-mates, who are still getting the hang of what their new coach wants from them. Having won consecutive league titles in Italy and Germany, "King" Arturo will want to add more silverware to his resume. Being paired with Argentina in the group stage will surely be a good test for the Chilean side, eager to prove their worth in a tournament far away from their homeland.

Arturo Vidal on Social Media

The talented midfielder has three social media accounts: Facebook (Arturo Vidal), Twitter (@kingarturo23) & Instagram (kingarturo23oficial). Vidal has a combined 5.8 followers and counting, with 2.4 millions following him on Twitter. The micro-blogging platform is Vidal's favorite social media account, where he usually shares moments of his private life & accomplishments with his teams.

In 2015, Vidal's Twitter feed was the focus of criticism, after he uploaded a video trying to excuse him from drunk driving charges while playing at the Copa América with La Roja. Vidal was found guilty of those charges, and he is currently serving a two-year ban from driving in his home country.

"I'm ok, thanks for your concern. Greetings everyone!"

Arturo Vidal's playing style & impact with Chile

The talented box-to-box midfielder has earned his first-choice status in Chile's lineup by assisting his team-mates on both ends of the pitch. Ever since his rise to stardom with Colo Colo, his aggresive but fair style caught the eyes of foreign teams. This eventually had him sign a deal with Bayer Leverkusen, his first European club.

Vidal's influence with Chile has taken bigger proportions under coach Jorge Sampaoli since his appointment as La Roja's coach in 2012. Vidal was his country's talismanic midfielder during the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers. He then managed to appear in three of the team's four matche in the global tournament in Brazil. He displayed his best performance with the Chilean squad last year, inspiring the hosts to claim their first-ever Copa América title.
