The talented England international now holds a Premier League record of scoring in 11 games in a row in a particular season. Before the beautiful goal, Vardy had tied with former Manchester United forward Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The Leicester man scored his 10th consecutive league goal in the 3-0 victory over Newcastle United last weekend. In today's match against The Red Devils, the 28-year-old raced from his team’s half into their opponent’s box in a terrific counter-attack, received the ball and blasted it past a helpless De Gea. The goal sparked wild celebrations across the King Power Stadium as the fans acknowledged their new hero. Additionally, his goal was also the first conceded by Manchester United in 545 minutes of football.
