Just one of several merchandises featuring his face, the Reds look to capitalize off the German’s popularity.

Jürgen Klopp did little to damage his popularity among English Premier League fans on Friday when the German boss was unveiled to the media as the new Liverpool manager.

The former BVB tactician put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Reds shortly after the sacking of Brendan Rodgers, with fans of the Merseyside giant exited to see the German touchdown at Anfield.

In fact, his run-in with the media in his first ever press conference as Liverpool boss saw his popularity rise, with the 48-year-old joking with the crowd, discussing tactics, revealing his philosophy on football, all whilst still wearing a smile.

Then there was a display of humility when asked to describe himself, with Klopp responding with: "I don't want to describe myself. I'm a totally normal guy, I'm the 'normal one'."

Those remarks sparked a social media frenzy, and it wasn’t too quick before “The Normal One” T-shirts popped up on the market.

The sellers? Liverpool themselves. What can easily be seen as method of recouping the £15m that Klopp will receive over his three-year deal, the Reds have already kicked off the selling of “The Normal One” T-shirts, which one can get for a mere £15.

Those were not the only merchandise featuring the popular German coach’s face to go up for sale, with Klopp Mugs, Klopp Pennants, and Klopp Mousemats also available for purchase.
