Sergio Aguero is in a race against time to please Manchester City fans and be ready for the Manchester City vs Manchester United derby scheduled for October 25. The 2014-2015 leading goalscorer in the English Premier League picked up an apparent hamstring injury in the game between Argentina and Ecuador.
Lionel Messi had given Aguero permission to wear number 10 with the Albiceleste. After waiting for such an opportunity for a long time, the dream of Aguero only lasted 22 minutes on the pitch. The striker had to be pulled out of the game in a stretcher as he was not even able to walk out of the field.
There is still some time for him to be ready for the game against Manchester United. As of right now, 15 days sound good for Aguero if he wants to be ready for the battle at Old Trafford. Between now and then, Manchester City will have to play Bournemouth in the EPL and Sevilla in the Champions League.
Neither Argentina nor Manchester City
Martino gave his first diagnostic of Aguero's situation
Martino: "I haven't spoken to the doctor but I can confirm the injury is not the same as the one he had been carrying with his club." #mcfc
