Fiorentina sends Joaquín back to Betis, signing Dortmund's Blaszczykowski

The Viola side was one of the most active teams during the transfer deadline day, signing Jakub Blaszczykowski from Borussia Dortmund. The Polish midfielder, who has suffered a number of injuries during the past few years, will play for the Italians on loan for a year.

But that was not it for the Italian side, as Spanish wingman Joaquín will return to Real Betis, his boyhood club. Joaquín, who left Betis nine years ago, signed a deal with Los Verdiblancos that will guarantee his presence there for the next three seasons.

Real Betis revealed Joaquin's deal via their Twitter feed. "OFFICIAL: Joaquin returns to Real Betis Balompié. 'Welcome back Joaquin'"


Inter signs Ljajic & Felipe Melo minutes before the transfer window is shut

Moments after transferring Hernanes to Juventus, Inter Milan added two more players to their roster. Former AS Roma striker Adem Ljajic and Galatasaray's Felipe Melo will play for the Neroazzurri next year.

Sources close to both negotiations revealed that Ljajic will join Mancini's team on loan, while Felipe Melo will do so permanently.


FC Porto sign Mexican wingman Jesus Corona

With the intention of adding depth to their squad, FC Porto has signed Mexican Jesus Manuel Corona. The Latin American wingman played the two most recent seasons with Twente, showing great dribbling skills on both wings. 

The Portuguese club agreed on terms with their Dutch counterparts for a €10 million fee, while Corona's deal with the Dragons will finish after the 2018-2019 season.


Fabio Borini signs a 4-year deal with Sunderland

Italian striker Fabio Borini has left Liverpool for good, by signing a new deal with Sunderland earlier today. The 24-year old will enjoy his second stint playing at Stadium of Light, following a couple of unsuccessful years with Liverpool

"I am delighted to be back at Sunderland. It is a club I know really well from my time here previously.It will be emotional for me to play at the Stadium of Light again and I can’t wait to get back on the pitch as a Sunderland player," Borini stated.


Juventus signs Inter midfielder Hernanes

Aiming to substitute Andrea Pirlo, and given the disappointing start of the Serie A for the Italian giants, Juventus has agreed terms with Inter Milan to sign midfielder Hernanes. Juventus was not expected to add any more players before the deadline, but their complicated start, with two losses in equal number of games might have forced their hand.

The Serie A champions revealed the news via their Twitter feed.


Liverpool signs 18-year old Taiwo Awoniyi

Brendan Rodgers signed the U-23 striker from his country's Imperial Academy. The 18-year old was immediately sent on loan to play for FSV Frankfurt of the 2. Bundesliga.

"It's an honor to join the best club in the world, I will try to keep growing in order to return with the team and give great things to them. I will try to make the team's supporters happy when I wear the Red jersey," Awoniyi stated.

The team revealed Awoniyi's signing via their Twitter feed.


Wolfsburg signs Bayern flop Dante for an undisclosed fee

After one of his most complicated seasons as a professional, Brazilian center back Dante Bonfim has left Bayern Munich to join Wolfsburg. Last week, the player was not included during the team's traditional  photo shoot, and today Karl Heinz Rummenigge confirmed they would let the player go.

"Dante told us he wanted to play regularly. We would like to thank him for his participation in our recent success, and we wish him well in his next challenge," the exec stated.

Raul García leaves Atletico to join Athletic Bilbao on a four-year deal

One of Atletico's captains decided to part ways with Diego Simeone's crew. Combative striker Raúl Garcia will be joining Athletic Bilbao for the next four years, where he will have a 40-million euros buyout clause. 

"I'm signing with a club that recently won a championship. I'll try to provide hard work and dedication to my new team. It's really exciting to be here, since I always loved to play at San Mamés Stadium. The atmosphere here is great when you come and visit the team, I can't wait to experience that playing for the home team," García revealed during his unveiling.

Wolfsburg signs Julian Draxler to replace De Bruyne for the next five years

After Kevin De Bruyne was sold to Manchester City, the Wolves made it a priority to sign a player of similar characteristics, and they ended up signing 21-year-old Julian Draxler. The former Schalke player, who was also sought out by Juventus, decided to join Wolfsburg because he did not want to move from his home country, and given that the Wolves paid Schalke the "biggest transfer fee ever".

"At the end of last season, Julian came to me and expressly said that he wanted to leave the club. I told him that we would consider any offers that came in for him, but I also tried to convince him until the end. After a few adjustments, and even though he acknowledged every one of them, he repeated his desire to leave, so we chose to let him go," Schalke's director Horst Heck explained.
