Brazilian defender Thiago Silva shared his thoughts about Angel Di Maria's transfer to Paris Saint Germain. Les Parisiens' captain referred to "El Fideo's" possible signing with the team, generating mixed reactions with his words, believing that PSG is a better club than Di Maria's soon-to-be ex-side, Manchester United.
"I think that people now need to respect PSG as a club, and our position as one of the big clubs in Europe. Real Madrid and Barcelona are probably on another level, but after that if you are joining PSG it means you are probably taking a step up," Silva stated.
The Brazilian international tried to explain why he feels that the French outfit can be considered above their English counterpart, despite the fact that PSG's resume is not an astonishing one.
"Every season we keep our best players despite much interest, and always add the best players in Europe. How many clubs can say that? The vision our owners have for this club is very clear, and that is for PSG to be the best," the Brazilian added.
