Arsene's 13-game winless run against The Special One is no secret, but a deeper look into the numbers paint a far worse picture for the Frenchman.

Unfortunately for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, the numbers that never lie cast an unforgiving shadow over his legacy in England. Considered one of the best managers to have graced the Premier League, Le Prof’s inability to defeat Jose Mourinho still haunts the Frenchman.

In almost 19 years in England's top-flight, managing once the nation’s finest side that now cannot even claim to be the best in London, Wenger has crossed path with The Special One 13 times, and is yet to win a single game in any of those meetings.

The 65-year-old tactician’s record against the Portuguese boss stands at 13 matches played, drawn 6, lost 7, won 0.

Mourinho's record vs Wenger

This is not a pretty track record for one thought to be a mastermind of the coaching world. In their last five encounters, three ended in victory in favor of Jose Mourinho’s crew, as the Gunners conceded 10 goals along the way, whilst playing two goalless draws at the Emirates.

Throughout Wenger’s 13 meetings with Mourinho, the north London side have conceded a whopping 21 goals, whilst only managing to find the net 6 times, and are goalless in their last 4 meetings, their last goal against the former Real Madrid man’s defense coming in May 2007.

"I think I would ask myself why," said the Blues manager when discussing Wenger’s winless run, reigniting another war of words with his bitter rival. "I would to try to answer but not because of a mental block but because I would want to try to find solutions to help my team to do it.

"This yes, try to find different way, try to find the reasons why it goes all the time against my team, but just that.”

However, come Sunday’s Community Shield clash between Arsenal and Chelsea, Wenger will have yet another opportunity to grab his first win over Jose.

Having returned from a successful pre-season, clinching both the BAT and the Emirates Cup, Arsene’s side have all the confidence and momentum they need to win at Wembley, plus in-form players in the form of Theo Walcott, Mesut Ozil, and Santi Cazorla.

Will this weekend see Mourinho’s undefeated run vs. Wenger finally come to an end?
