Los Cules won a very important game against Espanyol 2-0. Their next La Liga games are against Getafe, Cordoba and Real Sociedad.

The light at the end of the tunnel is almost visible for Barcelona as it approaches its last five games of La Liga with a two-point lead over Real Madrid. Los Cules control their own destiny, but Luis Enrique knows they don't have much breathing room heading into the final stretch of a season that consists of 38 games.

After their 2-0 win over cross-town rivals Espanyol, they were able to hold Madrid back yet another week. Los Merengues won their game 4-2 over Celta de Vigo, in a game where the team from Balaidos took an early lead. With only 15 points left in dispute, Lucho wants his players to go after every single one of them.

The win against Espanyol was more important than usual

"We can't relax one bit; tomorrow we need to be a tight, concentrated team. We see that our rivals are keeping up the pressure," Luis Enrique claimed. "Tomorrow we need all three points to keep up our fight for the league title. That's the way things are."

Barcelona will play Getafe at home this Tuesday. A team that is 13th place in La Liga may not represent much of a threat to Los Cules. The following games will be against last place Cordoba and 12th place Real Sociedad. Even though a 100 or more points season is out of reach, the team is still enjoying their performances.

"We're going into the final straight, but I see them as motivated as always."

Within the next 40 days, Lucho may claim a triple crown finish after his first season with Barcelona. Los Cules are still alive in the UEFA Champions League, made the final of the Spanish Cup and lead La Liga. After all the criticism the manager has received, he is getting closer to what all the fans want from the club.

"I don't think there is an amount that has to be reached. This is a top-level club and we therefore have to go all out for every title."

While Los Merengues seem to have a more complicated calendar on paper, Luis Enrique is focused on what he must do with his team. They know that the slightest mistake could cost a title moving forward.
