Louis van Gaal gave Depay his international debut with Netherlands. He has scored 27 goals this season with PSV Eindhoven.

Chances are that Memphis Depay is not planning to stay with PSV past this summer transfer period. The PSV midfielder would like to cap on a great season with PSV Eindhoven by making a big money move to another big club.

"It is a dream to make a transfer with such big impact," Depay said. "If that would become a reality, it would be fantastic."

The numbers speak for themselves

So far this season, Depay has scored 27 goals for PSV (all competitions). His latest one came on Saturday in the 3-2 win over Rotterdam. It was said that in the week leading up to the game, the 21-year-old player had traveled to meet with the coach that gave him the chance to debut with Netherlands, Louis  van Gaal.

"There's absolutely no truth in that," Depay said. "I haven't spoken to Manchester United."

What is true is that the Red Devils do plan to make an offer on the young star. PSV technical director Marcel Brands has said that the Premier League club is interested in Depay. Brands also added that it is unlikely that he will continue with the club after the end of the season.

Man United is not the only club interested him

This would be the first move for the player that has spent his whole career playing for the Dutch league champions. He joined PSV's youth academy in 2006, when he was less than 15 years old. His manager, Phillip Cocu claims he will not stand in the way between Depay and a club that is willing to pay what the boy is worth.

Cocu is keeping things as a mystery

"It would be great to go to one of the big competitions this summer, but for now I don't want to speak about that," Depay claimed.
