The Mexican scored his first brace for Madrid in the game against Celta. It was his second consecutive start for Real Madrid.

Three goals in two games, all in less than a week have Javier Hernandez closer to staying with a club that only a couple of weeks ago had almost forgotten about his existence. His brace in Sunday's game against Celta de Vigo confirms that Chicharito may have a chance to stay past his loan period that expires this summer.

It was a hard fought game at Balaidos, where Celta took an early lead just nine minutes into the game. Toni Kroos would even things up and then the player of the game scored his first goal to give Madrid a lead they lost right away. Before the 30-minute mark was reached, the game was already 2-2.

It would be James Rodriguez who gave Madrid a 3-2 lead before going into halftime. Carlo Ancelotti did not make any changes and Vigo seemed to be more aggressive in the start of the second half. It was a close game up until when Hernandez scored his second goal of the night from a brilliant assist by Sergio Ramos.

Now, CH14 has six goals in La Liga after scoring his first UEFA Champions League goal with Los Merengues in the midweek game against Atletico. It has been a season in which Hernandez has only played in 18 games out of the 33 so far. His efficiency in the lastest games have Ancelotti wondering what to do with him.

"If Chicharito continues to play like this, he’s non-negotiable like Cristiano, like Benzema, James, Bale, Ramos, Isco, Varane, Pepe," Carletto claimed after the game.

The 26-year-old player has been watching most of the games from the bench, but now that he is taking Karim Benzema's place, he is showing he deserved his chance. Chicharo's manager, Eduardo Hernandez, has scheduled a meeting with Los Blancos management for the first days of June to decide on his future.

Bale enjoys watching his team win

"Chicharito is doing really well. He's training hard and I'm happy for him. It's so fair what is happening to him now, he has been patient," James Rodriguez, who now has 11 goals and the same number of assists, said.

If Los Merengues want to buy the Mexican striker, the deal is estimated to be worth €10 million. That is less than half of what he was worth with Manchester United (€22 million) back in 2013. The good sign for the Guadalajara, Jalisco native is that many of Madrid's fans and legends support him.

"Chicharito's work has been recompensated and now he has energy to give away," Jorge Valdano said about a player that has only started three games for Los Blancos this season.
