The German defender stated that, even though he was 'honored' by the team's offer, he is not interested in playing for Los Blaugranas.

German defender Jerome Boateng revealed during an interview that Barcelona wanted to hire him after the past World Cup, but he did not look into the possibility since he is quite happy with the Bavarian club. The player, who signed with the German champions in 2011, wasn't really interested in leaving the club in which he wants to end his career.

"You have to be honored when a team such as Barcelona wants to sign you. Nevertheless, I did not look into it that much. There was no need for me to sign with them if I want to win the Champions League one more time. I'm really happy here, and I would like to keep playing with the team until the end of my career. Obviously, I want to add some more trophies in the process," Boateng stated.

The German international has won the Bundesliga twice, adding to his resume one Champions League, two German cups and the Club World Cup with the Bavarians.
