630 minutes have gone by since Bale last scored for Real Madrid. His shots on goal have decreased since being jeered by fans.

Gareth Bale has found an effective way to avoid being booed by fans. He has stopped shooting as much in recent games after his own fans jeered him in the matches against Espanyol and Real Sociedad.

Since the game against David Moye’s team, Bale has shot on goal 12 times in 540 minutes of playing time. That means that only one shot per 45 minutes on the game. For someone that plays 90 minutes constantly, it is a very low number.

In the last seven games he’s played, Bale has not scored. That makes it 630 minutes since the last time the player from Wales found the back of the net. It was against Cordoba from the spot that Bale scored his latest goal.

These are statistics that the Spanish newspaper AS collected. They also found out this has been Bale’s longest scoring drought since joining the team in 2013. Last year, he scored crucial goals in both Copa del Rey and Champions League finals.

When Bale is in top form he can really contribute to his team

The upcoming games are highly important in Los Merengues aspirations for more titles. After being knocked out by Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey, their obligation to win both La Liga and the Champions League. Right now, they hold a two-point lead over Barcelona in the domestic league and a two-goal differential in their Round of 16 match against Schalke 04 in the UCL.
