The Swiss executive stated he wants the public eye to trust football's governing body, despite recent corruption allegations.

Following the recent corruption allegations inside football's governing body, President Joseph Blatter stated today he is fully aware people don't trust FIFA anymore, and will be doing everything within his reach to make football credible one more time.

"We care a lot about what people think of us. It is important for FIFA to restore football's credibility, because it's the greatest game in the world. It will take time, but we will do everything in our power to do so," Blatter said to the press.

Blatter took credit of convincing board members to make public the investigation regarding the World Cup bids for 2018 and 2022, which have been subject to corruption claims. Blatter revealed his intention of publishing Michael Garcia's findings, but this may not be done shortly.

"I feel proud of having every board member agreeing to publish Mr Garcia's investigation. We will give the people a chance to look at that report, but we must do it the right way, when every pending investigation has  finished," the Swiss director added.

Finally, Blatter referred to last summer's World Cup as "the best", praising Germany for their deserved victory, since they played an attacking style in every game.
