Real Madrid's season so far has been almost perfect. Los Blancos earned today their tenth victory in La Liga against Eibar, a venue b which they had never visited before. Carlo Ancelotti's team reached thirty points and will comfortably keep their first place for another week.
The reigning European champion dominated most of the game, particularly the first half, enjoying most of the ball possession and a few chances by Gareth Bale and Sergio Ramos. Just after 23 minutes, confusion took over Eibar's defenders when Cristiano Ronaldo tried to pass the ball to Karim Benzema, apparently offside. The ball came back to CR7 who lobbed the ball for James Rodriguez, scoring the first goal of the game.
Before the first half ended, Cristiano Ronaldo extended Real Madrid's lead putting to good use an assist by Dani Carvajal. The Portuguese player has scored a goal against 51 teams while playing for Los Blancos.
After the halftime break, things did not change that much, with Ancelotti's team handling the ball correctly, and managing to score a third goal via Karim Benzema. With eight minutes before the game's end, referee Fernandez Borbalán gave a penalty kick to Real Madrid after a handball by Albentosa. CR7 took the chance and scored his 20th goal this season.
