The current back-to-back champions host Mexico's most beloved team on October 18th, with both sides looking for a spot in the Apertura 2014 playoffs.

Two desperate teams will face each other looking to start a worthy comeback towards the playoffs. Back-to-back champions Leon will host Guadalajara trying to give their fans some next round hopes in this tournament.

Leon have had a complicated tournament so far. Rafael Marquez's departure to Hellas Verona caused disruption in their backfield, and their disappointing performance in the CONCACAF Champions League has even caused coach Gustavo Matosas' resignation, but the team's executives still trust him after giving them two championships. Leon started their run for a second consecutive championship against Chivas last season. Can they pull it off one more time?

On the other hand, this international break came in handy for Guadalajara. After losing their Clasico against Atlas, owner Jorge Vergara determined to bring back former El Tri coach Jose Manuel de la Torre, being this his latest effort to turn things around for them. "El Chepo" gave Chivas their last championship back in 2006, and will surely try to bring back the glory days after being sacked from Mexico's National Team, earning the worst at-home record for El Tri ever in a World Cup Qualifying stage. De la Torre will need Angel Reyna to cooperate, since this summer's star transfer has not been able to score in this tournament.

One of this teams may end up saying goodbye to their playoff hopes. Will Leon take advantage of playing at home? Will De la Torre provide the needed boost for Chivas to avoid relegation? We'll find out soon enough.
