The Belgian star is set to establish a new record at Chelsea if all goes according to plan, as per reports.

According to reports, Chelsea's Eden Hazard is set to set a new record at the club.

Not for the most assists in a season, or more important, most goals, but rather in terms of his weekly wage packet. As per sources close to the Premier League giants, the Blues are close to offering the Belgian star a weekly pay of a bit over €250,000 per week plus performance related incentives that will see him become among the club's highest earners.

The reported £200,000 weekly pay will be double his initial signing salary following his £32 million move from Lille two seasons ago and will serve to fend off Ligue 1 champions PSG, who were apparently preparing to make a serious move for him this summer.

Although just 23, Hazard has quickly settled in at Stamford Bridge and has emerged as one of the Premier League's growing talents, something that Chelsea has recognized as they seek to keep him in a Blues jersey until 2019.

Despite having criticized his work ethic last year, Mourinho is keen on keeping Hazard at Stamford Bridge for the long haul
