After earlier speculation on a transfer deal between Manchester United and Arsenal for English international Danny Welbeck, sources indicate Dutch international Klaas Jan Huntelaar may be on the move to sign for the Gunners on a 12 million pound deal.
Criticized earlier by leaving his club during transfer deadline day, Arsenal chief Arsene Wenger responded to those claims, letting know Arsenal fans he is keeping an eye on his team despite not being in London.
"I am not in Rome for transfer business, but until the end things can still happen. At the moment there’s nothing, though," Le Prof stated.
"What is my last wish on the transfer market? To sign a player before midnight," Wenger claimed.
