When Sergio Bueno, Chiapas’s coach spoke about ex player Luis Robles and his link to a Spanish team, the option was dismissed by the club.

On July 23rd, Sergio Bueno talked about a former player being signed by a Spanish tea. That player was Luis Robles, and he was almost ready to sign with Las Palmas, a Liga Adelante club in Spain.  After his indiscretion,  Las Palmas denied any negotiation and now the player is not able to play, since there are no possibilities to register a player in Mexico.

The player’s agent, Genaro Hernandez, blamed coach Bueno for his client’s misfortune.

“The transfer was almost done, they were very interested to have Luis play for them, and they didn’t want a big show made out of it. After his ex-coach spoke, Las Palmas stopped any talk regarding Luis’s transaction,” the agent told several sources.

“The team doesn’t have to tell you what went wrong, but you have to be able to read between the lines. If they tell you to hold on for a day or two, and then you realize it’s been two weeks, you have to guess there was a reason for them not to call. We can only think that when coach Bueno went to the press with it, the team felt disrespected somehow,” the agent added.

Robles still has some options to play in Europe, but Hernandez is still working to get a better deal for his client. Meanwhile, the player is working out on his own.
