The Red Devils have reportedly moved closer to finally sealing a deal with the Chilean midfielder with a verbal agreement in place.

Could the whole Arturo Vidal to Manchester United saga finally be coming to a close?

Despite new Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri publicly stating that the player "is content to stay. I've spoken with him about his fitness and we're very happy to have him here with us", the press in the Bianconeri star's native Chile and England are pointing that indeed an exit to Old Trafford is truly something that will happen this summer.

As per El Mercurio, the Chilean newspaper claims that Juventus will receive $80 million (£63 million+ as per the English press) for Vidal's services

However, the publication goes on to claim that although he has a verbal agreement in place with the Premier League giants, he will not force through a transfer from the Scudetto winners should the Red Devils be unable to meet La Vecchia Signora's asking price. This reportedly is due to his respect for the team at which he has further developed into one of the top midfielders in the world.

Meanwhile, the Mirror alleges that the 27-year-old, nicknamed Il Guerriero (the Warrior) by the Italians due to his combative displays in the center of the pitch, will receive a pay packet of approximately £270,000 per week.

Interestingly, though, Vidal himself has posted photos of himself attending his team's first training session after his post-World Cup holidays, so it will be definitely be interesting to see what happens over the next week or so.
