The Brazilian's Camp Nou exit looks to leave a huge dent in the player's pocket.

Neymar’s Barcelona exit looks ready to haunt the Brazilian, as reports have emerged claiming the PSG ace owes his former employers $122m. Higher wages was an additional factor to his Parc des Princes switch, but that decision looks set to leave a huge dent in his pocket.

The 25-year-old shattered the world-record transfer fee when he signed for Les Parisiens for a staggering $263m. However, that move broke a clause in his contract with the Blaugrana which could force the attacker to pay the Catalan giant millions in compensation.

The player and club had an agreement in which the Selecao superstar would have to pay a fine if he failed to complete his contract. This clause was inserted in the initial five-year deal he signed with the Camp Nou side back in 2013, meaning he would not be in hot water had he waited six more months until 2018 to jump ships.

That amount was previously thought to be $49m, but El Confidencial reports (as per Marca) that it is actually $122m. This compensation has even further sparked rumors of a Real Madrid move.

If Neymar was forced to pay Barcelona the $122m, signing for Los Blancos could earn him extra bucks to pay off that amount – not that he is struggling for cash at PSG, though. Nonetheless, the Brazilian is enjoying his time in Ligue 1 and has his eyes on Champions League success with the French club.
