The Dutch Super Cup, also known as the Johan Cruyff Shield is an annual, one-off competition for football clubs in the Netherlands. It was created in 1949 but was canceled until the Royal Dutch Football Association decided to resurrect it in 1991. Since 1996, it has also been known as the Johan Cruyff Shield.

Just as is the case with other European leagues and their Super Cups, the Dutch Super Cup is contested between the winner of the Eredivisie and the winner of the KNVB Cup - assuming the same team does not win both titles. In the event that one team wins both the KNVB Cup and the Eredivisie in the same season, then the Johan Cruyff Shield will be contested between that team and the runners-up in the Eredivisie.

PSV Eindhoven by far is the most successful team in Dutch Super Cup history, with more titles won (and more appearances in the competition) than any other side. Other teams to have won the Dutch Super Cup multiple times include Ajax and Feyenoord.

In terms of media coverage, public broadcaster NOS held media rights to the Dutch Super Cup from the mid-1990s through the latter part of the 2000s. Starting from around 2008, TV broadcast rights then shifted to a series of paid-TV providers, including Eredivisie Live and Fox Sports Eredivisie. In 2023, ESPN secured TV broadcast and live-streaming rights for the Dutch Super Cup in a multi-year deal.
